More . . .

Wendy Stone

Last summer I photographed this bridge from upstream from 'Blue Boat'.  It was a nice image, but digital on my phone and I knew there was more to explore.
So this April, once Blue Boat was back in the water I set out again - this time with my Rollei medium format film camera and a bit more time to explore.
The result was that I ran aground on the Eastern bank of the Thames and had to dig the boat out of the mud with a paddle - but I got the photograph!

When The Week Forty Five Art Collective sent out an Open Call  for their next show based on a poem 'What the River Brought me . . .'  I knew I had the right image.  I found hte negative, printed it in my tiny darkroom and sent it in.

Yes!  It was accpeted and is now on it's way to London for the show to open on Monday.
I'll be there all day on Wednesday August 6.  If you would like to visit on Wednesday, or for one of the other Artist Late evenings please book your free tickets here on Eventbrite

Please do come to say 'Hello' and see this amazing show with a huge variety of work from 22 different artists. It will be my first visit to 54 The Gallery too and I'm looking forward to it.
